Jason Healey has a wealth of knowledge in building and construction, with being in the industry for over 17 years. Completing his apprenticeship in 2004, then going onto forming his own company JH Builders Whakatane Ltd, that was established in 2007. JH Builders service every home they build themselves and support local sub-contractors when necessary.
JH Builders are also part of the New Zealand Certified Builders Association which gives you guaranteed piece of mind with the Halo 10 Year Residential Building Guarantee.
Continuing to grow and develop, JH Builders currently have three qualified builders; 2 of them being licensed LBP’s & one labourer. A small hardworking team, all thriving to succeed 100% quality with every job that they take on.

JH Builders are also proud of their work in the recently devastated town of Edgecumbe. They have already helped 6 families back into their homes in Edgecumbe and are continuing to help others undertake the necessary repairs so they can get back into their family homes.

We met Jason and the team at JH Builders after our house was damaged in the 2016 Edgecumbe Flood. It was obvious right from the beginning that Jason was very organised, managing every aspect from the council consents right through to helping pick paint colours. He has a very good working relationship with his sub-contractors who were all very well informed and time-coordinated. Jason consulted us on every decision, and nothing was a problem if changes needed to be made. We found Jason’s advice to be sound and cost effective. Jason has an eye for detail which he instills in his team and the final product exceeded any expectations we had.
